Project Zulu has been working in partnership with South African township schools since 2012. What started as a one-off link with a primary school in the Madadeni Township has now grown into a longstanding partnership agreement with 11 schools across 2 township communities including multiple primary schools, a secondary school and a special educational needs school
This series of videos helps to give light to the educational development projects run by the Project Zulu’s volunteering programme at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) promoting lifelong learning opportunities across township schools in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

UK Drill is defined by inherently dark and gritty lyrics with references to gangs and violence in the highly popular music videos that are at the heart of the genre. The genre took to the streets of London where the hard-hitting beats and lyrical content resonated with several youngsters looking for a way out through music. Just like punk rock in the 70s drill is more than a musical genre; it represents a group of people in society that want to be heard, not confined by the mainstream norms.
